Two days before the first tranche was published, on Youtube I stumbled upon this clip. Gary Snyder = my elder. This talk was given days after Nixon’s reelection. At the end, his prescriptions for appropriate activist techniques are still relevant today. Simply blows my mind that we’re 45 years from the time of his interview. Why didn’t this percolate more into the mainstream? Why is this straightforward wisdom so repressed? I’m intuiting nothing new–I’m only restating it, decades later. All I can do is try to drive this further into mainstream consciousness. When will we come to know it?
