I’m running an at-home experiment to invite more community into my life and home.
On Wednesday, June 17 and June 24, I’ll be opening my doors from 3:00–6:00 PM for casual coworking, reading, conversation, music, or simply sharing space together.
My home has several comfortable spaces available for use, including a large living room, dining room, and kitchen, a backyard with a lawn, a cozy library nook, a spacious studio-style bedroom, and a basement bedroom with a desk. There is also a guitar and a vinyl collection available to enjoy.
I lives alone and am happiest when the space I steward becomes a vibrant ecosystem of people coming and going. I have been missing that sense of flow, movement, and community, and am curious to see what emerges when I intentionally create space for it.
this is a wonderful and extremely generous endeavor on your part Michiko! I’m not local but if I was, I would certainly make use of it.
I love the idea (and this reminds of the beat poets age back in the day) where people use to have informal gatherings at someone’s loft or apt. and there would be a constant stream of like-minded people coming and going.
Ooo I should be in the area around that time. I’m still working on moving in to our new Longmont house. If I’m not busy loading and unloading boxes I’d love to join!
