what this makes me realize is that there is still so much that I do not know, so much that exists beyond my own personal knowing, and THAT blows me away.

Wow…an amazing amount of art, science, math, creativity and patience went into that.
I would like to see Pythagoras’s reaction to this (of cat gut and octave discovery), especially since these are all materials that would have been available to him…except, I wonder about the balls…I would think they’d have to be perfectly made, and not sure if that was possible at that time - 570 – c. 495 BC
