One of the initiatives we are developing within Untimely Books is a series of interviews I have been calling “Duos”. The idea is a kind of Actors Studio type arrangement, where pairs of Untimely Books authors interview each other, either in person or on zoom. We have discussed the idea of longer conversations (several hours) but for which we could develop shorter “highlights” versions that could be used in our marketing efforts. While questions could be specific to each book, there are common elements that could be highlighted. Here is a suggested set of common questions. Thoughts about these? Other suggestions?
- Tell us about your work overall, as individuals, and why you publish with Untimely Books.
- Untimely Books is a publisher that favours visionary work, or visioning in general. Could you tell us how you understand your work in visioning terms?
- Now, do you have ideas about what elements your work has in common with your duo partner (or with other Untimely Books authors)?
- If you were to construct a dialogue between your approaches, what kinds of questions would that focus upon?
- What about your experience publishing with Untimely Books? Have you experience with any other publishers? What stands out about working with a cooperative publisher?
- Tell us something quirky about your books, something that readers might not expect.
