The long and short of it is I took a break this week, and though I have followed the thread, I just don’t feel much like talking at the moment. As Kearney also mentioned in an article, we humans can’t help but interpret, but I would caution against too much of it here. If someone’s not in a talking mood, it could just be that they’re not in a talking mood. Once that’s known, the rest is speculation. Sometimes things can be that simple.
Agreed, Ed. Life can be simple but not easy. Perhaps, if we could accept others complexity, rather than demand that they make sense in terms that are clear to me, that we can make more performances with depth and clarity. Clarity is a value with both share but I also sense we often have different ways to getting there. I hold out that possibility but don’t insist upon it. I often act " as if" that could happen, with mixed results. I assume a lot and I hope to give attention to my assumptions. We all have our blind spots. Enjoy your break!
