🔥 Cosmos Café—Pop-Up Edition | August 26, 2025

:memo: Summary

@ccafe et al. ~ After a few months of radio silence, @Michael_Stumpf, @achronon, and I have been catching up and feeling the call to gather around the virtual fire again.

Tuesday, August 26, 1:15–3 pm MDTNEW TIME

Open frame — no readings, no prep, just whatever’s been cooking during our pause. We’ve been chatting about navigating the current moment with some semblance of equanimity, the attention economy, productivity paradoxes, qigong, the tarot, mood management as practice, and “dying before you die”…

Come as you are if you’re feeling it. Drop a comment below.

The book I referenced comes out the end of this month…
Talk about Hand - Eye{Head} articulation or Touch-FeltSense & Vision?

As always I learned a lot from our Cafe style of communicating. It was a pleasure to reconnect once again.

I invite the notion that all experience is embodied and somatic.

The abstractions of modernity have been embodied… watch the anxiety that arises physiologically when plans, metrics, and outcomes are removed from “systemic” projects…

The issue is, in fact, that the grid has been lived into— alongside and saturating in the grace of life.

Well, I for one can honestly say that how I “surf” and search is most often a response to the prompt of curiosity: I have been, depending on the subject (phase of the moon, time of day, position of Mercury in my natal chart, or Lord knows whatever other momentary influences I’m muddling through), a hunter, neb-nose (as we used to say back home), or dancer.

Of course, as a kid, I used to “read the dictionary” by following all the references at the end of the chanced-upon definition I had “nibbed” (opening the book to a random page and without looking pointing to a given spot on either of the opened pages). I was something of a strange child, I suppose.

I was asked by Marco about Surrendering …I answered with including
a kinda half step of acceptance to what’s in front of U\ inside of U\
Plus underneath your feet …in this WTF (both senses F***k\Feel)
Lived Experience…roughly what I was trying to articulate ?

Today I came across this YouTube piece that speaks from a added
subtle degree maybe?

MC has an earthly voice and I loved starting the day with her vibe. I went to Penn Sound and found another fine voice to commune with. If MC is of the earth, HD is of the sky.. Twenty years ago a Jewish lady in her 9O s once said to me, “ Listen and learn” . I, now, know what she meant by that remark. There’s something that the AI summary of our cafe conversation can’t capture. The tone of a voice. That tone transcends information. The tone of the voice carries meaning, and you need a body to know that . And so far Chat GPT generated insights seem bound to the generic. The late, great , Mary Oliver, said most people can’t hear the lyric voice any more, a very great loss. I wrote a poem about this, recently, and I will dust it off and perhaps send to you.. After all of the bad affairs, betrayals, dead ends, and depressions, I scream the Body Electric!

Acceptance/Relaxing into Surrendering
& Knowing

This is a in one’s Heart & Bones statement no matter the human being…

“My mother was my first country, the first place I ever lived,” the poet Nayyirah Waheed once wrote. And then one needs to build a home for oneself in another place, to learn to be oneself.

A room of his own and knowing the place for the first time, moving towards his personal Utopia, finding the right tempo, a Neo Human emanates. The return of the power of the Gift redeems a fractured world. A room of my own, Cosmo-local, East Village, Planet Earth, arising out of the ashes of Trump’s fever dream, we lift the veil, and re-imagine with our re-discovered Persona , a new Heaven, and a new Earth.

Grab a cup of coffee and I will meet you there!
