Probably my own sensitivity led me to bristle a bit at the end of this excellent article, when the author wrote:
“(Sensitivity) might explain the larger culture, too. Not only did the toughest personalities brave the ocean to face the unknown, but once here, sensitivity would have seemed an Old World luxury.”
